ViCare Smart Climate Solutions are state-of-the-art products that regulate the heating in each individual room to provide a user-defined state of comfort throughout the entire home, whilst simultaneously keeping energy costs considerably low.
When Viessmann decided to have their entire IOT portfolio designed, they turned to us. Our challenge was to make the products more approachable and contemporary without losing the DNA of the brand’s design. What emerged was a product portfolio that both reflects Viessmann’s inherently minimalist and meticulous design, and allows for a unique user experience.

At the heart of all ViCare Smart Climate solutions is the ViCare thermostat that is both easy and intuitive to use. The iconic circular display is framed by a light guide that lets the user know whether the heating process is currently ongoing, or whether the desired room temperature has already been reached. Temperature and individual room settings are adjusted using the click switch that forms the entire front of the device, creating a user experience that feels embodied without being cramped. The ViCare app allows for complete control of the product for those lazy days on the couch.
Round edges and clean lines best describe the overall look, with the floating translucent front face creating an elegant lightness. The light, egg-shell tone helps the products almost merge with most walls, with Viessmann’s orange boldly visible from the sides. Even the packaging is a delight, with an unboxing experience that feels like you’re opening a present.
The products were chosen to be the star of Viessmann’s 100 year anniversary booth at the ISH international trade show, where they received acclaim by both specialists and end-users. This collaboration paved the way for many fruitful projects between Viessmann and PONG, and has contributed greatly in the digitalisation of the Viessmann brand.
